NIST
Traceable Calibration of Hardness Testers

Almost every manufacturer
has a hardness tester, and that is where Precision Labs has spent the last decade and a
half developing the array of standards to check the accuracy.
We can calibrate in direct methods or indirect methods. When we calibrate in indirect
method, we utilize the finest hardness blocks available. This substantially increases the
repeatability of the readings.
Since there are many different types of manufacturers, both foreign and domestic, there is
no opportunity to list them, but be assured that we have the knowledge, expertise, and
capability for each type that you may have.
Naturally, we offer onsite calibration of the units
that cannot be sent to our facilities.
Examples of
Standards

- HrA (Rockwell A) with steel or carbide
(preferred) indenters
- HrB (Rockwell B) with steel or carbide
(preferred) indenters
- Type A
- Type B
- Type D
- Type OO
- Type OOO
